Frequently asked questions

You can register for your free Bush guarantee in a few simple steps by clicking here or watch the video below which will walk you through all the methods to register along with the benefits of doing so.


  1. If you are missing radio stations, we would recommend performing an automatic channel scan on your radio and trying the following:
    • Move the radio to an open location, close to a window if possible.
    • Locate it further away from other devices to avoid any interference.
    • Extend the antenna fully and, if necessary, adjust to receive the strongest signal.
  2. If you are still missing stations, it may be down to your signal coverage. You can check the digital signal coverage in your area using this website here.

You can check the software version of your radio. In DAB or FM mode: 

  1. Press and hold the Menu/Info button to enter the menu options 
  2. Use the Tune/Select rotary control to scroll to ‘’. Press the Tune/Select rotary control to select. 
  3. Use the Tune/Select rotary control to scroll to ‘’. Press the rotary control to select. 
  4. Press and release the Menu/Info button to return to the station display.

We would recommend checking the following if your radio has no sound:

  • Ensure the volume is turned up fully.
  • Check if this is occurring on all stations, as it may be down to poor signal from a particular station.

If the issue is still occurring, try a power reset:

  1. Disconnect the radio from mains/battery power.
  2. Holding down Power/Standby button for 30 seconds.
  3. Reconnecting the radio up and trying again.

To make the most out of your radio and get better signal we recommend the following:

  • Move the radio to an open location, close to a window if possible.

  1. Press the Tune — or Tune + buttons to scroll though the station list to the desired station.
  2. Press the Select button. It will tune to the selected station.
  1. Press the Power button to turn on the radio.
  2. Press and hold the Power button to turn off the radio.

Note: When you Power off the radio when using mains power, it will go to Standby mode. When using batteries, the radio will power off completely and will not go to Standby mode, to save battery power.

  1. Whilst a radio station is selected press and hold the Menu button.
  2. Full scan will appear on the display, press the select button to begin the scan.
  1. Press Menu/info button. Scroll to “System” press Select.
  2. Use the Tune + or Tune — button to select “Alarm”.
  3. “Alarm 1” will be displayed and press Select.
  4. “Alarm 1 wizard on time” will be displayed and the hours will flash.
  5. Use Tune + or Tune — to navigate to desired time.
  6. Press select to go to minutes and use the Tune + or Tune — to navigate to desired time and press Select.

What to do if Your Radio Has Poor Signal

This product is guaranteed for at least twelve months from the date of original purchase. Any defect that arises due to faulty materials or workmanship will be repaired free of charge (or if applicable the product will be replaced or the purchase price refunded) where possible during this period by the dealer from who you purchased the unit.

The guarantee is subject to the following provisions:

  • The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, misuse, cabinet parts, knobs or consumable items.
  • The product must be correctly installed and operated in accordance with the instructions contained in the manual.
  • It must be used solely for domestic purposes. The guarantee will be rendered invalid if the product is re-sold or has been damaged by inexpert repair.
  • Specifications are subject to change without notice.
  • Bush disclaim any liability for loss or damage arising from the breakdown of the product.
  • This guarantee is in addition to and does not diminish your statutory or legal rights.
